On Monday 20th May 2019, the Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) committee meeting was held at Walpola Rahula Institute. This committee has been active since 2018 March to initiate collective inter-faith approaches towards the wellbeing of children in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

The meeting was followed by Iftar, hosted by the Walpola Rahula Institute. Brothers and sisters from diverse faiths joined to host the ifthar.<\/p>\n

In the current context of the country, it is of much relevance to create space for interfaith dialogue and interaction to promote co-existence and peace among diverse communities.<\/p>\n

We look forward to continuing this journey together to bring in collective thinking to solve common issues.<\/p>\n

  4. Fr. Noel Fernando – Peace and Reconciliation Desk, Anglican Church<\/li>\n
  5. Dr. Vinya Ariyaratne – President, Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement<\/li>\n
  6. Mrs. Sivananthini Duraiswamy – President, Hindu Women’s Society<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
